CHAPMANVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One West Virginia high school has canceled classes for Wednesday due to an ongoing ‘pest problem.’

According to the West Virginia Department of Education, Chapmanville Regional School in Logan County canceled classes on Wednesday after a bat was discovered in a classroom on Tuesday.

The classroom was evacuated as a result and the rest of the school was dismissed early.

School officials say pest control was contacted the same day the bat was discovered.
