Mumbai, Oct 1: In a major administrative move, the Maharashtra government will issue appointment letters to over 10,000 candidates for government jobs on October 4, including 5,187 individuals selected on compassionate grounds.

The large-scale recruitment drive follows instructions from Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to resolve a backlog of pending compassionate appointment cases. According to an official statement, these appointments had been delayed due to administrative and technical reasons, leaving many families in prolonged uncertainty.
