A three-decades-running event has finally returned after being interrupted for five years by the COVID-19 pandemic.

For 30 years, the Trenton Woodlot Conference connected both landowners and professionals to annually learn about how to better care for their forested lands around the eastern Ontario region.

Now, following a pandemic hiatus, the conference is reinventing itself as the Quinte Woodland Conference, running on Thursday, Oct. 2, at a church in Belleville, hosted by the Quinte Chapter of the Ontario Woodlot Association. The local chapter draws members from across the region, including Hastings County, Prince Edward County, Lennox and Addington County and beyond.
