HAMILTON — Twenty-one teams converged on Hamilton High Wednesday for the girls flag football state championships.

The event featured programs from every class, competing in three separate tournaments: the Class AA tournament, Class A tournament and Class B-C tournament.

Kalispell Glacier, the three-time defending state champion from when every class competed in the same bracket, opened the festivities Wednesday morning with a dominant win over Butte.

A dominant, 27-0 first half performance from the Wolf Pack was all the reigning champions needed to ice a first-round win over the Butte Bulldogs.

A 14-0 shutout first quarter, followed by a 13-0 second quarter, allowed Glacier to sit back and lean on its defense in the second half. The Wolf Pack registered a
