Volleyball event to bring awareness

WELLSBURG — The Brooke High School Lady Bruins’ volleyball team will host a Dig Pink Game Night fundraiser today to support the Wheeling Cancer Center. The team will play against Weir High School and Catholic Central High School beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Held in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the evening will include a 50/50 drawing, Chinese auction, concession stand, free face painting and an opportunity to remember loved ones with a pink ribbon displayed in the corridor outside the gym.

Several community members who have battled the disease will be recognized. The team invites everyone to join in raising funds for the battle against cancer and to recognize the many who have fought it.
