Breaking: Oilers trading for disgruntled Mammoth goaltender
At long last, the Edmonton Oilers have acquired some goaltending help.
After another offseason seemed to have come and gone without any changes in between the pipes, Stan Bowman has made a last-minute move to strengthen his depth at the position.
The Oilers have acquired netminder Connor Ingram from the Mammoth in exchange for future considerations. Utah will retain $800,000 of Ingram's $1.95 million average annual salary, bringing him down to a $1.15 million cap hit in Edmonton.
Sportsnet NHL insider Elliotte Friedman was the first to break the news on X (formerly Twitter).
"Connor Ingram is being traded to Edmonton," Friedman wrote.
