Tyreek Hill appeared unusually enthusiastic after suffering a gruesome season-ending leg injury Monday — but an old teammate says that he didn’t have a choice.

Former Dolphins offensive tackle Terron Armstead revealed that Hill resorted to laughter in an effort to avoid passing out from excruciating pain, he told TMZ Sports on Tuesday . 3

Armstead, who spent three seasons in Miami from 2022-24 before retiring ahead of the 2025 season, recounted a phone call between him and Hill that occurred just hours after the star wide receiver got carted off the field during the Dolphins’ 27-21 win over the Jets on Monday night .

Hill was in “good spirits,” according to Armstead, and explained that he smiled, laughed and clapped his way off the field so he didn’t lose consciousness.
