A mum who was given a devastating diagnosis in Edinburgh has told of how she 'found strength' again.

Ibolya Erdosi, 46, was living in Corstorphine when doctors told her she had pancreatic cancer. She battled the disease for two years, and eventually thought she was 'over it' in 2024.

Earlier this year, Ibolya had to go through vocal chord surgery - and was left without a voice. Due to her ongoing health issues she moved back to Hungary along with her son and husband , and was looking to 'find a way to keep speaking to the world without her voice'.

While she had dipped her toe into writing novels before, but she had a new-found dedication to getting words on the page, and set about finishing her first. Now, she's completed Letters from the Past – Under the Walnut Tree.
