A High-Level Committee, under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has approved a number of mitigation, recovery and reconstruction projects having a total outlay of over four thousand six hundred and forty-five crore rupees. It will benefit nine states: Assam, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh. The Union Home Ministry said that to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a disaster-resilient India, the Ministry is providing all necessary support to states and Union Territories.
