(Gray News) – Joshua Allen, the winner of “So You Think You Can Dance” season 4, has died at age 36, according to reports from TMZ and PEOPLE .

TMZ was the first to report the news. A family member confirmed Allen’s death to the outlet.

A cause of death was not revealed.

Allen was best known for winning season 4 of the dance show “So You Think You Can Dance,” which aired in 2008. He entered the competition as a hip-hop dancer.

He won against his friendly rival Stephen “tWitch” Boss, who became a household name as the DJ and co-executive producer of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Boss died by suicide in 2022 at age 40.

Allen also had screen credits as a dancer in “Step Up 3D” in 2010 and the remake of “Footloose” in 2011, according to IMDb .
