Sight & Sound , a Lancaster County theater with biblical programs, announced that it’s releasing a film to movie screens in time for Easter weekend in 2026.
The film, “A Great Awakening,” is about English minister George Whitefield, who was a founder for Methodism and the evangelical movement, and his friendship with Benjamin Franklin. The film’s title refers to the Great Awakening, a movement during the 1730s and 1740s in which a surge of Christianity hit England and the Colonies in North America.
It will make its movie theater debut on April 3, 2026.
