LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A large plume of smoke could be seen rising over I-64 in eastern Jefferson County after a semi caught fire on Wednesday.

TRIMARC said all lanes of I-64 East near Hurstbourne Parkway were blocked after the semi caught fire just before 11 a.m.

Traffic cameras show firefighters were on scene within minutes and appear to have the fire under control.

It's unclear if there are any reported injuries at this time.

Drivers should expect some delays as TRIMARC says the eastbound lane closure could last at least an hour.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
