If you were one day handed a novelty-sized cheque worth hundreds of thousands of pounds, how would you spend it?

The answer, according to one family, is to spend a Day in the Life of The Beatles.

Stephen Ullah, 70, his wife Beverley, 62, their son Stephen, 44 and daughter Deon, 42, bagged more than £416,000 in the EuroMillions’ Lucky Dip.

They played as a National Lottery syndicate – a way for players to Come Together as a group to buy a pink ticket – so will pocket £104,000 each. They kicked off their celebrations at the Hard Days Night Hotel, a Beatles-themed business in the band’s hometown of Liverpool.

Next on the itinerary was the Cavern Club, where the Beatles played their early gigs to only a few dozen people.
