SAN ANTONIO — The Fredericksburg store that sold the winning Powerball ticket last month has received a bonus check from the lottery.

The second-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history — $1.8 billion — was won on the night of Sept. 6. There were two lucky winners: one in Missouri and one in the Texas Hill Country town of Fredericksburg.

The Texas winning ticket was sold at a convenience store Big’s — a new addition to the area that’s now basking in national spotlight. The store was presented with a check for $250,000 for being the store to sell the winning ticket.
