The Utah Mammoth announced Wednesday that they have traded goaltender Connor Ingram to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for future considerations. Utah is retaining $800k of his $1.95 million salary for this season. This allows Edmonton to send Ingram immediately down to their AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors. Just last week, the Mammoth placed Ingram on waivers to find him a new team, however, he went unclaimed. With the signing of Vitek Vanecek, Ingram was essentially replaced as the backup. He didn't even attend training camp with Utah. Now, Ingram gets a fresh start with the Oilers in the final year of his three-year contract.
