LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — The Meridian Township Police Department reports that there are no injuries after "railroad maintenance equipment" crashed into a vehicle that disregarded the gate arms at a crossing in Meridian Township.
Police say that the crash occurred at the Hagadorn Road railroad crossing just south of Mt. Hope Road at around 6:57 a.m. on Wednesday.
The vehicle drove around the gate arms and entered the crossing, where it was hit by the equipment being used to replace railroad ties.
Police say that this crash is just one of two other similar incidents that happened over the weekend at the same railroad crossing, where drivers ignored road closure signs and became stuck. No injuries were reported during those incidents.
