STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — State Assemblymember Charles D. Fall was elected chair of the Staten Island Democratic Party on Monday night, taking the helm of the borough’s Democratic Committee.

The vote took place during the committee’s reorganizational meeting Monday evening, marking a new chapter for the borough’s Democratic leadership. The Richmond County Democratic Committee, which serves as the official arm of the Democratic Party on Staten Island, convenes every two years to elect officers and set the direction for party strategy and engagement across the borough.
