SRINAGAR : Northern Railway’s Jammu Division has generated revenue of around Rs 30 lakh in September 2025, through intensive ticket checking drives, officials said on Wednesday. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

Officials have said that 5,436 passengers were apprehended for irregular or ticketless travel during the month-long drive.

The fines were collected under the supervision of Divisional Railway Manager Vivek Kumar and led by Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal.

Railway authorities said surprise inspections are also being carried out regularly to curb unauthorised entry of passengers and to ensure better travel services for genuine rail users.
