Dusty May is on a recruiting hot streak. His Michigan men’s basketball program picked up a third commitment in as many weeks on Wednesday with four-star guard Joseph Hartman.
The 6-foot-5 guard, who plays for The Rock School in Gainesville, Florida, is ranked No. 79 in the 2026 class per the 247Sports composite. He joins Malachi Brown and Quinn Costello , who both committed in recent weeks, and Marcus Moller as part of Michigan’s recruiting class.
Hartman reportedly held offers from Big Ten programs Iowa and Minnesota, plus Butler and Dayton, among others. He told 247Sports he visited Florida Atlantic a couple of years ago, when May was the head coach there.
“Since then, really, we’ve been building a relationship,” Hartman told the site. He reportedly visited Michigan last week.
