Researchers have been testing a new spacesuit underwater to mimic low-gravity conditions.
NASA announced on Tuesday, Sept. 30, that it was putting the kit designed for a Moon landing through its paces.
The Axiom Space AxEMU is a flexible, advanced lunar spacesuit designed for the Artemis III Moon mission to enable more comfortable, safe, and longer moonwalks in extreme environments.
Artemis III is NASA's planned mission to land astronauts on the Moon's south pole for about a week, marking humanity’s first lunar surface expedition of the 21st century. The space agency say the mission will happen no earlier than mid-2027.
