BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont animal care officers rescued 32 dogs from a Pine Street property this month after discovering conditions they say point to organized dog fighting and breeding operations.
Animal care officers responded to a report of possible hoarding and dog fighting in the 3700 block of Pine Street earlier in September. Officers found the dogs in unsafe conditions with what they described as "disturbing evidence of fighting and breeding activities."
On Sept. 30, officers executed a seizure warrant and removed all dogs from the property. The seized dogs included four litters of puppies, 20 under one year old, and 12 adults.
