Clark County’s ethics review commission ruled Tuesday that a Vancouver mayoral candidate’s complaint against a county employee does not warrant a formal ethics violation hearing.

Commissioners Barbara Baskerville, Adam Murray and Darcy Rourk voted 3-0 against furthering independent mayoral candidate Justin Forsman’s ethics complaint against county employee Alexander Van Dinter.

Forsman accused Van Dinter of misusing county resources to defame and harass him on social media.

In August, commissioners said they believed Forsman’s complaint required further investigation.
