A coastal flood advisory went into effect for much of South Jersey on Wednesday, Oct. 1.

For Atlantic County, Cumberland County, Cape May County and southeastern Burlington County, the coastal flood advisory began at 2 p.m. It was to last until 8 p.m.

For Gloucester County, Camden County and northwestern Burlington County, the coastal flood advisory is to begin at 8 p.m. Oct. 1 and last until 1 a.m. the next day.

These advisories come as Hurricane Humberto reaches post-tropical cyclone status, with lingering dangerous surf and rip currents to continue throughout the Atlantic coastline this week.
