Family of woman killed by MPD squad wants answers: 'How could they not see her?'
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee Police Department released video Wednesday from a critical incident that occurred on Sept. 16.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 20th and Orchard just before 11 a.m. for a welfare check on a woman walking in and out of the street.
While checking the area, an officer struck the 31-year-old, who police say was lying in the entrance of the alley, with his squad car.
The woman, identified as Hayley Amber Linville, was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
The officer involved, a 44-year-old man with over 18 years of service, has been placed on administrative duty.
Milwaukee Area Investigative Team is investigating the incident.
