The Islamabad Capital Territory administration has sealed six buildings, including a marquee along the Expressway, after dengue larvae were discovered on the premises.
The action was carried out on Wednesday during an inspection drive led by the Assistant Commissioner of Nilore to ensure compliance with dengue prevention protocols, according to an ICT administration spokesperson.
Officials said the sealed buildings had been identified as major contributors to the spread of dengue due to stagnant water and non-compliance with safety guidelines.
Inspections revealed that management at the sites had failed to implement the standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the district health authorities to prevent mosquito breeding.
