LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) -It’s a familiar scene in Washington: the blame game. Nebraska Republicans, like many of their colleagues, are pointing to Democrats as the cause of the current government shutdown.
10/11 asked some of Nebraska’s elected leaders what compromise could look like, and they say they’ve already put forward proposals that meet in the middle.
“This is a bi-partisan compromise already,” Senator Pete Ricketts said. “It has already been passed by both Republicans and Democrats four times in the last 18 months. This is again the hypocrisy of the Democrats’ position.”
