Carol Lynne Lopossa, 86, passed away peacefully on Sept. 19, 2025 in Beaver, Utah. Carol was born on June 8, 1939 to Mary Theodora Wedemeyer and Walter Cambell Lopossa in Long Beach, California. She attended school in Long Beach at Willard Elementary, Jefferson Jr High, and Woodrow Wilson High School, graduating with the class of 1957. High school is where she found her passion for sewing. She worked at her parents’ market, Belmont Heights Market, located at 3500 Broadway in Long Beach for many years.

As a young adult, she joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Long Beach 5th Ward. She married John T. Stavem on Sept. 25, 1960 in Long Beach and had two sons: Kevin and Mark. Her son, Mark, remembers her as an amazingly creati
