BOSTON —

A former state employee who pleaded guilty to leaking information from the grand jury investigation into Karen Read was sentenced Thursday to two years of supervised release, including two months of home detention, her attorney confirmed.

Jessica Leslie, 34, of Dracut, admitted in August to disclosing information presented to a federal grand jury.

In a sentencing memorandum filed on Thursday, Leslie lost a "job she loved" with the Department of Children & Families. She started working for the department in 2017 and rose to a supervisor position in May, but was recently terminated.

Her memorandum suggested that a sentence of time served would be appropriate in this case.

Leslie also received one day of incarceration, deemed served.
