DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. —

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office arrested two people accused in a series of thefts at construction sites.

Between August and late September, the sheriff's office has received reports of thefts from three different construction sites.

DCSO said nearly $16,000 worth of tools were stolen from a site near 204th and Vinton streets, and some of the items were later pawned.

The other sites were near 185th and Drexel streets and 208th Street and Nebraska Avenue.

The investigation, which included surveillance footage, led deputies to arrest Dino Alai, 31, and Christianna Bohling, 25.

According to DCSO Bohling was questioned during her probation visit, and she admitted to selling the tools and splitting the money with Alai.
