BURBANK, Calif -- To celebrate "The Sound of Music" on its 60th anniversary, the classic film has been newly restored using state-of-the-art technology. For the first time, it's now available for home viewing in 4K Ultra HD digital and in Blu-Ray.
Besides bonus content, including a sing-along version, there is remastered sound and restored visuals fixed frame by frame. That's 24 frames per second made sharper and clearer and brighter.
We caught up with three of the actresses who famously played some of the von Trapp children.
"It's not boring, not any part of it anywhere. I mean, it keeps your attention going the whole time. There's emotion, there's singing, there's happiness, there's scary. You know, I think it just has the whole gamut," said Debbie Turner.
"It's an iconic movie!" An
