LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The federal government shutdown has resulted in thousands of FAA employees to be temporarily furloughed or mandated to work without pay for America's air travelers.
The Louisville Regional Airport Authority (LRAA) said Bowman Field Airport and Muhammad Ali International Airport are operating "business as usual" for daily operations.
Pat MacDonald adds that the special event BowmanFest will also proceed as planned.
MacDonald, an organizer for BowmanFest and a pilot, is preparing for one of Bowman Field's biggest weekends of the year.
Modern and historic military planes will take flight Nov. 4-5 for the 9th annual Bowman fest.
