Popular Tex-Mex restaurant, Desperados Mexican Restaurant, will take over the former On the Border space at 5960 W. Parker Road in Plano’s Willow Bend Market. The center is being leased by Bryn Carden and Lynn Van Amburgh of Weitzman.

The expansion into Plano marks a new chapter for Desperados, a family-owned Tex-Mex restaurant that has been part of the Dallas dining scene since 1976 . Founded by Vietnam war veteran Jorge Levy, the restaurant expanded from its first spot on Greenville Avenue to a second in Garland in 1994. More than three decades later, a third location is set to open about 20 miles north of the original eater
