SPRINGVILLE — A wildfire burning east of Springville and Mapleton resulted in the evacuation of homes and RVs in Hobble Creek Canyon on Thursday evening.

The fire, which was first reported about 5 p.m., has been dubbed the Cherry Fire. It has burned up to 150 acres and is growing, according to a social media post from the Utah County Sheriff's Office.

Crews from multiple fire departments are responding to the blaze.
