MONTANA – A recent study from the Bureau of Business and Economic Research revealed that fishing has a significant impact on Montana’s economy.
Last year, more than 450,000 anglers spent over $1 billion on fishing trips across the state.
The report highlights that both tourists and Montana residents contribute to this spending.
Non-residents accounted for more than 70% of cold-water-related spending, while two-thirds of warm-water spending came from Montana residents.
