The Mariners will open their American League Division Series against the Detroit Tigers on Saturday and Sunday at home, marking just the franchise’s third playoff appearance since 2001. Fans who couldn’t wait until the weekend got a rare sneak preview Thursday as the team hosted the second of two intrasquad scrimmages — complete with full lineups, music, and a running scoreboard to replicate October baseball.
