As the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise attempts to set sail once again, it’s still uncertain who will be at the helm of the next installment.

Jerry Bruckheimer , who produced the five movies based on the Disneyland ride, recently gave a status update on the two previously announced projects that would reboot the franchise, also commenting on Margot Robbie ‘s involvement.

“We’re working on a script. It’s always on the page; if we don’t have it on the page, it’s not gonna get on the screen,” Bruckheimer told The Wrap , adding: “We had two scripts at one point, and then one kinda dropped out, and then we kinda went on with the other one.”

When asked if the Robbie project was the one the dropped out, Bruckheimer noted, “Well, she’s still involved.”
