The Burnaby RCMP is asking the public for help locating a missing boy.
Police say they received a request for a well-being check for 11-year-old Kai Pavlovic on Sept. 26. They were not able to locate him, and they say they have been searching for him ever since.
After speaking with Kai’s family, they believe he may be staying with a caretaker who is unknown to police.
“Our initial priority was to make people aware Kai was missing and to share his picture with the public,” said Cpl. Laura Hirst.
“Our investigators are making every effort to find Kai, and we are asking for the public’s help as part of those ongoing efforts.”
Kai is described as being 5 feet tall with a thin build and brown hair.
As of early Thursday evening, an Amber Alert has not been issued.
