HARVEY, La. — Two firefighters were sent to the hospital, and several others were treated after a fire in Harvey.

The fire happened in the 2100 block of Alamo Avenue and was first spotted by the assistant chief of a local volunteer fire company from his home.

Nearly 40 firefighters were called to the scene.

The two firefighters who were hospitalized have since been released.

The cause is still under investigation.
