The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced an updated fee structure for Aadhaar-related services, which will come into effect from October 1, 2025, and remain applicable until September 30, 2028. A further revision has also been planned from October 1, 2028, to September 30, 2031.

As reported by the Economic Times, these changes are part of UIDAI’s ongoing efforts to enhance service efficiency and reduce delays in biometric updates, especially for children.

Aadhaar enrolment for children aged 0–5 years

Fee to registrar: ₹75

Cost for resident: Free

Fee to registrar: ₹125

Mandatory Biometric Update for children aged 5–7 years and teenagers aged 15–17 years
