SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' General Conference is set to take place this weekend, in addition to funeral services for the Church's President Russell M. Nelson. Utah agencies are preparing for the influx of visitors.

Twice a year, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints hosts General Conference, in which church leaders address their members and share messages. While it is also broadcasted online, approximately 100,000 individuals attend General Conference in person at the conference center in downtown Salt Lake City.

In addition to October's General Conference, the Church is also hosting funeral services for their leader, President Russell M. Nelson, who passed away on September 27, 2025, at 101 years of age.
