A 57-year-old Pahoa man accused of trying to break into a Nanawale Estates subdivision home while naked and armed with a knife will receive a mental examination.
A panel of three doctors will evaluate Krzysztof Snarski for both fitness to stand trial and for legal responsibility — or whether he was in a state of mind to understand the illegality and wrongfulness of his alleged actions while they were occurring.
Snarski is charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree terroristic threatening, attempted second-degree assault, fourth-degree sex assault and habitual property crime.
