BELL COUNTY, Texas (KWTX) - Family and friends of Jena Scott and Michael Swearingin are still heartbroken over their vicious killings in 2019.
Authorities said Cedric Marks, Scott’s ex-boyfriend at the time broke into Swearingin’s home, kidnapped the two, and killed them in Temple.
Police said he then drove the bodies to a graveyard site in Oklahoma.
Through a tip, authorities found the bodies and arrested Marks.
Family members are keeping their names alive through the annual Jena Scott and Michael Swearingin 5k memorial.
The 5k is hosted by the non-profit Priceless Beginnings, which supports domestic violence victims
