(WHTM) -- It's Pit Bull Awareness Month at the York County SPCA and it may give flashbacks to the 90's.

That's the theme of the event hosted by Friday's hometown heroes.

The SPCA says pit bulls are not a single breed and they are judged unfairly.

The York County SPCA will also host pop-up events and a free adoptions day for all their adults dogs.
