North Brunswick football's season has been a storm of close calls, injuries, and tough lessons. But on a cool Friday night in Leland, the Scorpions found themselves standing tall.
After scoring 33 points but failing to secure a win in Week 4, head coach Bryan Davis was blunt.
"We're just trying to patch the dam," Davis said of his injury-ridden roster that came just short in a 35-33 heartbreaker vs. St. Paul's on Sept. 12.
The dam might still not be fully repaired, but the Scorpions (3-4) collected their second straight win of 2025, holding off county rival West Brunswick 42-24 on Friday, Oct. 3.
"They're learning," Davis said after the win. "I'm just proud of (The team) persevering, and I'm excited for them going forward."
