President Trump has directed his team to assess the situation. The announcement includes an immediate surge of federal resources, such as enhanced CBP and ICE resources, to ensure law and order in Portland.

A federal judge is expected to decide by the end of the day today or early tomorrow morning on whether to temporarily block the Trump administration from deploying the National Guard into Oregon.
