COLUMBUS, Ohio — A child was struck by a vehicle Thursday night in the Westerville Woods neighborhood, prompting renewed safety concerns from residents who have been warning for weeks about increased traffic in the area.
“It almost felt like a prophecy coming true in a way because we all knew that a big accident was going to happen here," said Victoria Schroer, who moved to the area a year ago. "It was all kind of just building up to the unthinkable moment of a child being struck by one of these reckless drivers."
