PHOENIX (AZFamily) — There was a major break in the Mount Ord murders as law enforcement believes they have their killer.

According to Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Thomas Brown was arrested in connection to the deaths of Pandora Kjolsrud, 18, and Evan Clark, 17, who were found dead while camping in the morning of May 27 near State Route 87 in the Mount Ord area of the Tonto National Forest.

When the investigation began, detectives said nearby campers originally directed their attention to Brown, who was camping in the area at the time.

A tip line was also set up following the murders. One of the tipsters was Brown himself, but it wasn’t to turn himself in. The sheriff’s office said he wanted to provide details and a drone video he shot while camping near the crim
