WAUSAU − Police have arrested a 34-year-old Wausau man in connection with a Sept. 14 shooting that led to the death of a 31-year-old man in Wausau.
At 5:40 p.m. Sept. 14, officers responded to a home in the 400 block of Lazy Creek Way in Wausau for a report of a possible shooting, according to a Wausau Police Department news release. Officers found Jacob Socha had been shot and he was transported to a local medical facility in critical condition. He died Sept. 19.
Shortly after 6 p.m. the day of the shooting, police arrested a 34-year-old man on a warrant from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. The man remains in the Marathon County Jail, according to the news release.
