The calendar switched this week to October, and it's safe to say that the second half of the regular season for Kansas high school football is off to an incredible start. Many marquee matchups on the night went down to the wire which we'll get to, but we begin you with a check on our Game of the Week.
The Clash of the Cardinals saw Hoisington make the road trip to Cheney Friday night. Cheney took last year's contest big, 47-18, but this year the script flipped toward Hoisington. This was a tight contest heading to the break, the teams were tied at 6 after the first two quarters. Then Taylen Morales took over, scoring a pair of second half touchdowns to give him all three of their scores for the night. The defense did the rest to give Hoisington a 20-6 win and keep their record unblemished
