RICHARDTON, N.D. — Chase Christensen struggled with injuries last year in his sophomore season with the Richardton-Taylor Raiders. This season he has remained healthy, and the results have paid off for his team.
“It’s been nice to finally be healthy for a full season. Last year was pretty tough. I tore ligaments in my knee, had to get surgery,” Christensen said. “The O-line allowed me to get to the second and third levels on those run plays and then held up on pass plays.”
In the Raiders’ 22-12 win over the Beach Buccaneers, marking the team’s third straight, the junior quarterback did everything on both sides of the ball. He went 6-for-10 for 109 yards passing, but he imposed his dominance on the ground, rushing with 23 carries for 161 yards and a touchdown.
